Indico was founded by Sarita Gupta, a veteran fundraiser and communicator, who wanted to take her expertise and experience to connect US investors and donors to India-based social entrepreneurs and NGOs.
Sarita was born in India and raised in the US, providing her with a deep understanding of and sensitivity to both cultures. Sarita received her Master’s degree in international development from Columbia University and has worked for 25 years in leadership positions with major US non-profits, including CARE, Acumen Fund and Women’s World Banking. She recently completed a certification course in impact investing.
Sarita is also an author with published articles on a variety of issues she is passionate about.
